Obituary of Catherine Repsher

Catherine A. Repsher, 91, of East Stroudsburg, passed away on Thursday, April 9 at Pleasant Valley Manor. She would have celebrated her 92nd birthday on June 6. Catherine was the wife of the late Robert J. Repsher. Born in West Scranton, she was the daughter of John and Kate (Hutchey) Pifcho. Before her retirement, Catherine worked at Penn Hills as a housekeeper. Catherine was always there to lend a helping hand to those in need. She treasured the love she had for her family and especially her son, Robert Arbochus, who passed away in 2002. She found the best, even in the worst of times. She enjoyed the many weekends she spent in Scranton, with her niece, Kathleen Wagner. She is survived by her step-son, Robert Repsher, Jr. and his wife, Edwina of East Stroudsburg; brother, Willard Pifcho of Scranton; sisters, Dorothy Boraski and Violet Russell of Wilmington, DE; sister-in-law, Kay Pifcho of Nicholson; three grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her son, Robert Arbochus, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Marion Egyed and Irene Babarsky, four brothers, George, Daniel, John Jr, and Clarence Pifcho. There will be a viewing on Monday, April 13 at 10:00 a.m. at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of routes 940 & 390 in Paradise Valley. The Reverend Edward Kimes will conduct a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Sand Hill Cemetery in Bushkill.
