Obituary of Stephanie Rivera

Stephanie M. Rivera, 19, died Thursday, May 21 as the result of a motor vehicle accident in Pocono Township, Pa. Born in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of Victor and Miriam (Morel) Rivera of Pocono Summit. A 2007 graduate of Pocono Mountain East High School, Stephanie was presently attending Northampton Community College. In addition to her parents, she is survived by two brothers, Victor Jr. and Tyler , both of Pocono Summit; a sister, Kristen, also of Pocono Summit; paternal grandparents, Victor Rivera of New York, and Carmen Torres of Philadelphia; maternal grandparents, Jose and Trina Morel of New York; boyfriend, Eric Maher of Mt. Pocono; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. There will be a visitation on Tuesday, May 26 from 2 to 4 and 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of Routes 940 & 390 in Paradise Valley. The Reverend Father Joseph Kopacz will celebrate a Service of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 27 at Saint Mary of the Mount Catholic Church, Fairview Avenue, Mt. Pocono. Interment will follow at St. Catherine's Cemetery in Moscow, Pa.
