Obituary of John Abuiso

John Raymond Abuiso, 55, of Canadensis, died Sunday, April 12 at Hospice Community Care in Dunmore. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of John N. and Shirley Rose (Hoffman) Abuiso. John graduated from Thomas Edison High School in Jamaica, NY. Before his illness, he was an elevator engineer for Kencor, Inc. in Philadelphia. He also worked as a Code Inspector for the City of New York and was a member of Local # 3, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. John was a member of St. Bernadette's Church in Canadensis. John is survived by his wife, Wanda (Himmel) Abuiso; two sons: John Charles Abuiso of Long Island, NY and Stephen Abuiso and his wife Brittney of Canadensis; three brothers: Joseph Abuiso of Mt. Pocono, Anthony Abuiso of Long Pond and Michael Abuiso of Canadensis; three sisters: Kathleen Caponigro of Canadensis, Donna Widowski of Wilkes-Barre, and Mary Fowler of Georgetown, DE; and many nieces and nephews. There will be a viewing from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm on Tuesday, April 14th at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of Routes 940 & 390, Paradise Valley. The Reverend Father David Cramer will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am on Wednesday, April 15th at St. Bernadette's Church, Route 390, Canadensis. Private cremation will follow at the Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
