Obituary of John Mulholland

John A. Mulholland, 67, of Tannersville, died Wednesday, February 3 at home. He was the husband of Jean (Fries) Mulholland. Born and raised in the Kensington section of Philadelphia, he was the son of the late George and Lucy (Motti) Mulholland. John retired in 2006 after 27 years of service as a court reporter at the Monroe County Courthouse. He served as the official reporter for Judge Peter O'Brien for 20 years. John was a former EMT Volunteer for the Bushkill Ambulance in the early 1980's and also volunteered with Compationate Care Hospice. A veteran of the United States Army, he served during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Tannersville. In addition to his wife, Jean, he is survived by a son, Michael Mulholland of Tannersville; three brothers, Joseph Mulholland of Ocean City, MD, Robert Mulholland of San Diego, CA, Donald Mulholland of St. Petersburg, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, George and David Mulholland, and a sister, Rose Peachey. There will be a viewing on Monday, February 8 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of Routes 940 & 390 in Paradise Valley. The Reverend Father Richard Czachor will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, February 9 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Church in Tannersville. Private cremation will follow after the service at Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
