Obituary of Marjorie Sables

Marjorie "Midge" Sables, 80, of Mt. Pocono, died Monday, September 28 at the VNA Hospice House of Monroe County in East Stroudsburg. She was the wife of the late Leo Sables, who passed away in 2000. Born in Blakely, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Bertha (Lilly) Evans. Midge was employed at Moritz Embroidery Works in Mt. Pocono from 1986 until her retirement in 2007. Prior to her job at Moritz, she worked for Coffman and Meyung Photo Lab for over twenty years. A life-long resident of Mt. Pocono, Midge was a member of Saint Mary of the Mount Catholic Church. She is survived by a grand-daughter, Tera Ravina Hatler of Lyndhurst, NJ. In addition to her husband Leo, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Helen Sables Ravina in 1988; a sister, Helen Cresswell; and a son-in-law, Joseph Ravina in 1992. The Reverend Father Joseph Kopacz will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am on Friday, October 2 at St. Mary of the Mount Catholic Church in Mt. Pocono. Interment will follow at St. Catherine's Cemetery in Moscow. There will be a viewing on Thursday, October 1 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of Routes 940 & 390 in Paradise Valley. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to VNA Hospice House of Monroe County, 502 Independence Road, East Stroudsburg, Pa 18301.
