Obituary of Stella Ayres

Stella L. Ayres, 54, of Tobyhanna, died Wednesday, November 16 at Moses Taylor VNA Hospice in Scranton. She was the wife of Dennis B. Ayres. Born in Bronx, New York, she was the daughter of the late John and Jeanette (Mahoney) Keppel. She was employed as a bookkeeper for Harrington Construction in New Jersey and also worked for Blakeslee Home Improvement for a few years. A resident of the Poconos for six years, Stella loved flower gardening and animals. In addition to her husband, Dennis, she is survived by two daughters, Jamie L. Ayres of Bangor, Michelle Moyer of Gouldsboro; a brother, Paul Keppel and his family of Fairlawn, New Jersey; and four grandchildren, Brandi, Kayla, Luke, and Conner. No services are scheduled at this time. Cremation services were entrusted to the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of routes 940 & 390 in Paradise Valley.
