Obituary of Scott Coombe

Scott Coombe, 49, of Blakeslee, died Tuesday, January 20 at Community Medical Center in Scranton. He was the husband of Cindy (Eickhoff) Coombe, to whom he was married for 30 years. Born in Allentown, he was the son of Abner Coombe of St. Petersburg, Florida and Phyllis (Shiner) Coombe of Blakeslee. A long time resident of Blakeslee, Scott was a local businessman for over thirty years. In addition to his wife, Cindy, he is survived by a son, Michael Coombe of Blakeslee; his mother, Phyllis Coombe of Blakeslee; his father, Abner Coombe and his wife, Jahn of St. Petersburg, Florida; a brother, Todd Coombe of Pocono Lake; two sisters, Emma Jo Argot of Pocono Lake and Tammy Jo Coombe of Blakeslee; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Terry Coombe and a nephew, Matthew Coombe. The Reverend Luke Richards of the Pocono Lake Wesleyan Church will conduct a Memorial Service at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 23 at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of Routes 940 & 390 in Paradise Valley. There will be a visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Private cremation was entrusted to the Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
