Obituary of Dolores McKenna

Dolores B. McKenna, 83, of Tobyhanna, died on Friday, August 28 at Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg. She was the wife of Paul G. McKenna. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of Thomas and Mary (Nelson) Cunneen. Before her retirement, Dolores was a registered nurse at Bay Ridge Hospital in Brooklyn and Franklin General Hospital in Long Island. She was also a Tops (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) Leader. In addition to her husband, Paul, she is survived by three daughters, Maureen Bonanno and her husband, Daniel of St. Petersburg, FL, Joanne Nowinski and her husband Frank, of Florida, NY, Kitty McKenna and her husband Barry Katz of South Brunswick, New Jersey; one sister, Mary Hedderson of Chula Vista, CA; and seven grandchildren, Lauren and Frank Nowinski, Allison and Sean McKenna, and Daniela, Johnathan, and Lisa Vinci. There will be a visitation on Sunday, August 30 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of Routes 940 & 390 in Paradise Valley. The Reverend Father Edward Michelini will conduct a Blessing Service on Monday, August 31 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at St. Catherine's Cemetery in Moscow.
