Obituary of Beatrice Pacifico

Beatrice A. Pacifico, 78, of Tobyhanna, died unexpectedly on Friday, November 11 at JFK Hospital in Edison, New Jersey. She was the widow of Frank L. Pacifico. Born in Bronx, New York, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Anna (Lanci) Gasparino. She retired from the Astoria Federal Savings and Loan Bank of Queens, New York. After her retirement, she was employed at the Mt. Pocono Moms-Day-Out Pre-school Program at the Mt. Pocono United Methodist Church for over eight years. A member of Saint Ann's Church, she was a member of the Rotary Anns and the Pocono Farms Women's Club. She is survived by a son, Frank L. Pacifico, Jr. of Edison, New Jersey; a daughter, Annelle Prefontaine and husband Tom, of Tobyhanna; a brother, Anthony Gasparino of Bonita Spring, Florida; two sisters, Patricia Pawul of East Northport, New York and Marie Buonamico of Medford, New York; four grandchildren, Dominick, Frank, Danielle, Joseph; and several nieces and nephews. The Reverend Father Ron Hughes will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 15 at Saint Ann's Church in Tobyhanna. Cremation will follow the mass. There will be a viewing on Monday, November 14 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of routes 940 & 390 in Paradise Valley.
