Obituary of Darlene Santiago

Darlene Santiago, 32, of Mt. Pocono, died Tuesday, October 11 at Stroud Manor in East Stroudsburg, where she was a resident. She was the wife of Edward Santiago. Born in Bronx, New York, she was the daughter of Hugh Doran of Tobyhanna and the late Margaret "Peggy" (Hanley) Doran. She was a graduate of Pocono Mountain High School. Before her illness, Darlene owned and operated Kids Corner Daycare and Pre-school in Mt. Pocono. In addition to her husband and father, she is survived by a son, Matthew Santiago of Mt. Pocono; a brother, Hugh Doran of Cresco; a sister, Christine Peters of Tobyhanna; two nieces, Renee and Janee Peters of Tobyhanna; and several additional nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Doran. Monsignor Arthur Kaschenbach will conduct a Blessing Service at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 15 at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of routes 940 & 390 in Paradise Valley. Interment will follow at St. Catherine's Cemetery in Moscow. There will be a viewing from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, October 14 at the funeral home.
