Obituary of Dorothy Horvath

Dorothy Horvath, 81, of Mt. Pocono, died Tuesday, August 25 at Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg. She was the wife of the late Joseph E. Horvath. Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Rodko) Polifka. Dorothy was an active member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Church in Pocono Summit. She is survived by four sons; Mark Horvath of Pocono Summit, Matthew Horvath of Montana, Dr. Joseph Horvath of South Carolina, Steven Horvath of North Carolina; a daughter, Paula Yoo of Whitehall; and seven grandchildren. There will be a viewing on Sunday, August 30 from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of routes 940 & 390 in Paradise Valley. The Reverend Father Michael Salnicky will perform a Parastas service at 5:00 p.m. On Monday, August 31 a Panachida service will take place at 9:15 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Divine Funeral Liturgy at 10:00 a.m. at St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, Rt. 940 in Pocono Summit. Interment will take place on Tuesday, September 1 at 11:00 a.m. at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
