Obituary of Russell Nauman

Russell David Nauman, 76, of Cresco, died Tuesday, December 29 at home. Born in Mt. Pocono, he was the son of the late David and Hattie (Dotterer) Nauman. He was self-employed in the excavating and construction industry. Russell founded the Pocono Mountain Construction Company in 1973, which is now under the operation of his son, Mark. He was a member of the Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Mt. Pocono. Russell was also a veteran of the United States Army National Guard. He is survived by his son, Mark David Nauman of Cresco; a daughter, Lynn Ann Nauman of Staten Island, NY; sisters, Shirley Kistler of Cresco, Charlotte Miller of Marshalls Creek, special friend, Laura Ferrara of Cresco; several nieces and nephews, and his loyal dog "Mister". In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his long time companion, Millie Pozniak. The Reverend Peter Richert will conduct a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 4 at the Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Mt. Pocono. There will be a viewing on Sunday, January 3 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of Routes 940 & 390 in Paradise Valley, and on Monday, January 4 at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow in Keokee Chapel Cemetery in Paradise Valley. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Lutheran Church of Our Savior, 675 Belmont Ave. Mt. Pocono, Pa 18344.
