Obituary of Mariano Ramirez

Mariano "Mario" Ramirez, 57, of Canadensis, died unexpectedly on February 1, 2009 at home. Born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Mariano and Juana (Velazquez) Ramirez. Mario was employed as a computer technician in the banking and credit card terminal industry. He was a United States Air force veteran. He is survived by his former wife, Rose Mary Martinez, of Goshen, NY; two daughters, Iydes Ramirez of Bronx, NY and Elena Ramirez of Briarcliff Manor, NY; a brother Antonio Ramirez; five sisters, Hilda Hernandez, Ester Ramirez, Jenny Ramirez, Irvia Robles, Norma Rivera; and several nieces and nephews. He was the beloved friend of Billy and Peter Pipolo and families. The Reverend Luis Carrasquillo will conduct a Memorial Service at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 7, 2009 at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of Routes 940 & 390 in Paradise Valley. There will be a visitation from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service. Private cremation was entrusted to the Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
