Obituary of Alberta Fowler

Alberta M. Fowler, 82, of Cresco, died Thursday, September 24, 2009 at Golden Living Center in Scranton, Pa. She was the wife of the late Archie Fowler. Born in Athens, New York, she was the daughter of the late Etsel and Myrtle (Kniffen) Fowler. Before her retirement, Alberta was employed as a florist in the Pocono area including Reese's, Forssell's Nature Nook and Grower's. She is survived by a daughter, Cindy O'Boyle and her husband, Joseph of Tobyhanna; a son, Mark Powell of Cresco; two brothers, Gerald Townley of Athens, New York and Edison Townley of Coxsackie, New York.; and two grandchildren, Megan and Kaitlyn O'Boyle of Tobyhanna. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Eric O'Boyle in 1997. There will be a viewing on Monday September 28, 2009 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of routes 940 & 390 in Paradise Valley. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Catherine's Cemetery in Moscow, Pa.
