Obituary of Charles Handville

Charles David Visone Handville, 46, of Pocono Pines, died unexpectedly on Thursday, October 8 at Pocono Medical Center. Born in Berlin, Germany, he was the son of Ruth V. Solomon of Pocono Pines and the late Seymour Solomon. Charles grew up in Long Island, New York, and moved to the Poconos in 2005. He graduated from St. Paul's College Prep in Garden City, New York. Graduating Magna Cum Laude from Brandeis University in Massachusetts, he received his Bachelor of Science degree in economics. He received he Masters Degree in International Affairs from Columbia University. Before moving to the Poconos, he was employed by the Chase Manhattan Bank's International Division. He presently worked as a Peer Specialist for Salisbury Behavioral Services in Stroudsburg, Pa. In addition to his mother, Ruth, he is survived by two cousins, Meg Irizarry and her husband, Joe of Pocono Pines and Charles Schott of Pocono Pines. There will be a funeral service on Wednesday, October 14 at 1:30 pm at Trinity Episcopal Church, Trinity Hill Road, Mt. Pocono. A visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until the time of the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Animal Lifeline, PO Box 1034, Bellmore, NY 11710
