Obituary of Frederick Ritter

Frederick "Freddy" L. Ritter, Sr., 70, of Mt. Pocono, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg. He was the loving companion of Marie Falvo for twenty years. Born in Easton, and raised in Nazareth, he was the son of the late John A. and Irene (Nitzchie) Ritter. He was the owner of Alpha Transformer Corp of Nazareth. Frederick was a veteran of the United States Army. In addition to his companion, Marie, he is survived by three sons, Frederick Ritter, Jr. of OR, Ron Ritter of Nazareth, and John Ritter of Effort; three daughters, Sherry Timar of Gilbert, AR, Stacey LaBar of Bangor, Jennifer Green of Wilkes-Barre; two step-daughters, Gina Falvo and Christina O'Connor, both of Mt. Pocono; a brother, Charles Ritter of Gettysburg; a sister, Jackie Berhel of Easton; 13 grandchildren; and one great grandchild. There will be a viewing on Saturday, February 21 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of routes 940 & 390 in Paradise Valley. The Reverend Wayne Kaufman will conduct a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Private cremation is entrusted to the Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
