Obituary of Francis Keiper

Francis B. "Frank" Keiper, 78, of Mt. Pocono, died Sunday, November 30, 2008 at Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg. He was the husband of the late Carole (Bennett) Keiper who passed away in 1977. Born in Mt. Pocono, he was the son of the late Arthur and Emma (Van Horn) Keiper. A lifelong resident of Monroe County, Francis was the owner and operator of Keiper's Home Gas Co. for over thirty years. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #1106 in Stroudsburg. He is survived by a daughter, Jeanne Smith and her husband, Richard of Stroudsburg; two brothers, Ron Keiper of Swiftwater and John Keiper and his wife Joan of Stroudsburg; a sister, Shirley Rider and her husband Harry of Tobyhanna; a grand-daughter, Terri Lynn Lentz and her husband Mark of Henryville; a great grandson, Mark Lentz, Jr. of West Virginia; daughter-in-law: Bernice Neyhart of East Stroudsburg and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, William A. Keiper and a brother, Harold Keiper. The Reverend Robert Tutrone will conduct a funeral service on Friday, December 5 at 11:00 am at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of routes 940 and 390, Paradise Valley. There will be a viewing from 10:00 am until the time of the service at the funeral home. Cremation will follow at the Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
