Obituary of Helena Garratt

Helena M. Garratt, 93, of Long Pond did Saturday, July 30 at Pleasant Valley Manor in Hamilton Township. She was the wife of the late Roland C. Garratt. Born in Georgetown, Guyana, South America, she was the daughter of the late Douglas and Mary (King) Haynes. She is survived by two sons, Donald M. Garratt and his wife, Jaime of Astoria, NY, Geoffrey U. Garratt and his wife, Rebecca of Long Pond; a daughter, June M. Harrison and her husband, Edward of Hudson, FL; a sister, Kathleen Cendrecourt and her husband, Ivo of Cambria Heights, NY; eleven grandchildren, Matthew, Christina, Deborah, Geoffrey, Justin, Lainie, Erin, Nicholas, Victoria, Timothy, Emily; three great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Joan A.Garratt. There will be a viewing on Sunday, July 31 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of routes 940 & 390 in Cresco. The Reverend Father Joseph Kopaz will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 1 at Saint Mary of the Mount Church, Fairview Avenue, Mt. Pocono. Private cremation will follow at the Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
