Obituary of Michael Schaffer

Michael R. Schaffer, 27, of Pocono Lake, died Tuesday August 18, 2009 at home. Born in New Hyde Park, NY, he was the son of Richard and Catherine (Loye) Schaffer of Pocono Lake, Pa. In addition to his parents, Michael survived by a brother, Joseph Schaffer and his wife Dora of Staten Island, NY and their two children, Joey and Ella; his Paternal Grandmother Mary Schaffer of Port Richey, FL and Maternal Grandparents: Camille and Al Grossbauer of Port St. Lucie, FL. Michael also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins. Michael was preceded in death by his grandfathers Joseph Schaffer and Edward Loye. There will be viewing on Saturday August 22, 2009 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of routes 940 and 390, Paradise Valley. The Reverend Father Joseph Kopacz will conduct a blessing service at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Private cremation will follow at the Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
