Obituary of Ronald O'Rourke II

Ronald J. O'Rourke II, 44, of Palm Harbor, FL and formerly of Marshalls Creek PA, and Williamsburg VA, died February 11, 2008 in Palm Harbor, FL. Born in Flemington, New Jersey, he was the son of Ronald J. O'Rourke and Joan (Monahan) O'Rourke. Ron was a devoted, loving father to Kaycee, he loved and cared for his nieces and nephews as if they were his own. He cherished the times he was surrounded by family and friends. Always quick to tell a joke or play a prank he kept everyone laughing. Ron was there for everyone in good times and bad, there was nothing he wouldn't do for those he loved. He was deeply loved by his family and friends and will be missed tremendously. He worked for many years in Real Estate time share sales, and most recently worked in custom carpentry. He loved traveling, fishing, scuba diving, snorkeling and reading a good book on the beach. Ronald is survived by his mother, Joan (Monahan) O'Rourke of Phillipsburg, NJ.; father, Ronald J. O'Rourke and step-mother, Sylvia of Williams Township, Pa.; one daughter, Kaycee O'Rourke of Palm Harbor, Fl; one brother, Michael O'Rourke and his wife, Joyce of Alpha, NJ; two sisters, Mary Mahoney and her husband, Paul of South Sterling, Kathleen Farrelly and her husband, Dennis of Bushkill; his best friend, Colleen Williams of Rochester, NY; three nephews, Brian Candler, Michael Mahoney, Kyle O'Rourke; and two nieces, Colleen Mahoney and Kaitlyn O'Rourke. He was preceded in death by a nephew, Paul Mahoney II. The Reverend Father Irudaya Alluri will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 noon on Saturday, February 16 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Newfoundland. Interment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery. There will be a viewing from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of Routes 940 & 390 in Paradise Valley.
