Obituary of Joyce Cuiry

Joyce Ann Cuiry, 64, of Canadensis, Pa and Fort Lauderdale, Fl died Sunday August 21, 2005 at home. She was the wife of Nicholas Cuiry since July 1991. Born in Hackensack, NJ she was the daughter of Marie Lyon of Candler, NC and the late Lawrence R. Lyon. She was a member of Paradise Valley Baptist Church in Cresco, Pa. She loved and served her Lord and Savior, which reflected through her ministry of serving others. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed. In addition to her husband and mother, Joyce is survived by a daughter Barbara Keller and her husband John of Aiken, SC; son John Watterson and his wife Esther of Candler NC, granddaughters Desiree & Candis Watterson of Candler NC; stepdaughter Marilyn Altmansberger and her husband Chris of Downingtown, Pa; step grandson Timothy Altmansberger, Downingtown, Pa; and sister Linda Johnson and her husband Dennis of Nebraska. A memorial service will be held Tuesday August 23 at 7 pm in the Paradise Valley Baptist Church Cresco, Pa with Pastor Paul Stevenson officiating. Memorial donations in Joyce's name can be made to VNA Hospice of Monroe County, 502 Independence Road, East Stroudsburg, Pa 18301. Services were entrusted to the Bolock Funeral Home, Inc.
