Obituary of Lynda Whittam

Lynda Jane Whittam, 60, of Pocono Lake, passed away Thursday July 28, 2011. She was born April 24, 1951, in Doylestown, the daughter of F. Stewart Whittam and Helen Jane (Fretz). She graduated from Council Rock High School in Newtown in 1969 and The Humbolt Institute for the Airlines in MN. She was married to Greg B. Emmons from 1974 to 1994 and raised a family of three children in Doylestown, PA. She pursued a modeling career as well as many interests in the fashion industry and interior decorating. She is survived by her mother Helen Jane (Fretz) Whittam of Pocono Lake, son and daughter-in-law Greg and Danielle Emmons of Mission Viejo, CA.; daughter Amanda Emmons of Sellersville and daughter and son-in-law Rachel and Bill Burke of Charlotte, NC.; grandchildren, Tyler and Addison Emmons of Mission Viejo, CA.; Alex Emmons and Makayla Walker of Sellersville. She was preceded to death by her Father, F. Stewart Whittam, of Newtown PA. as well as her brother, Dr. Thomas Whittam and Sister, Susan (Whittam) Simpson. Rev. Elizabeth S. Haynes will conduct a memorial service on Tuesday, August 2nd at 11:00am at Bolock Funeral Home, route 940 in Cresco. There will be a visitation from 10:00 am until the time of the service at the funeral home.
