Obituary of Frederick Schweers

Frederick R. Schweers, 64, of Mt. Pocono, died Thursday, July 30 at Mercy Hospital in Scranton. He was the husband of Marie (Timpanaro) Schweers. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he was the son of the late Frederick and Doris (Flieshman) Schweers. Before his retirement, Frederick was a mail handler for the United States Postal Service. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. In addition to his wife, Marie, he is survived by two sons, Joseph M. Schweers of Mt. Pocono, Michael R. Schweers and his wife, Nicole of Dover AFB, Delaware; three sisters, Emma Schweers of Scranton, Marion Parker of Wappingers Falls, NY, and Carol Trimboli of Dyker Heights, NY; and one granddaughter, Kayla Schweers, Dover AFB, Delaware. There will be a viewing on Tuesday, August 4 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of Routes 940 & 390 in Paradise Valley. The Reverend Father Brian Wright will conduct a Blessing Service at 8:00 p.m. Interment with Military Honors will take place on Wednesday, August 5 at 2:00 p.m. at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville.
