Obituary of David J. Does

David J. Does, 71, of Long Pond, Pa. died unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 21 at Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg. He was the husband of Sheila (Hansen) Does. Born in Passaic, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Jacob and Hazel (Bart) Does. Before his retirement, David was employed as a Senior Investigator for the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office in New Jersey for over 25 years. Most recently, he was the Post Commander for American Legion Wilson-Fischer Post #413 in Pocono Pines, Pa. He was a United States Army veteran. In addition to his wife, Sheila, he is survived by a son, David Does and his wife, Krista of Canton, GA; a daughter, Karen Ramos and her husband, Michael of Oakridge, NJ; a sister, June Ann Selders, of Ridgewood, NJ; five grandchildren, DJ, Jessica, Tyler, Megan, and Daniel; and several nieces and nephews. There will be a viewing on Saturday, May 24 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of Routes 940 & 390 in Paradise Valley. Burial with full military honors will take place on Tuesday, May 27 at 11:00 a.m. at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville, Pa.
