Obituary of Dolores Heller

Dolores S Heller, 87 of East Stroudsburg, lost her long and courageous battle with cancer on August 7 while surrounded by her loving family. She was the widow of Robert E Heller who died in February of 1990. Born on December 27, 1923, she was the last of seven children of Clinton and Anna (Miller) Fritz. She was fondly referred to as "Sis" by all her relatives and was a lifelong resident of Monroe County, as were her parents and grandparents. She was employed at Valerie Fashions until her retirement in 1984. After the death of her husband, Bob, she moved into Greentree Apartments, where she was surrounded by a wonderful group of friends. Dolores' greatest joys included "flea marketing", reading, dancing and just sitting at her kitchen table talking with her family. She also so looked forward to "lunching" with her girlfriends and her classmates of East Stroudsburg High School. She is survived by a son: Robert E Heller Jr and his wife Barbara of East Stroudsburg; daughters: Sharon Lynn Myrthel and her husband Matthew of Stroudsburg and Ruthann Eilber and her husband Terry of East Stroudsburg and a daughter-in-law, Susie Heller of Delaware. Also surviving are her grandchildren: Wayne Heller and his wife Toni, Kim Gullstrand and her husband Eric, Randy Scott Heller, Mike DeSanto and his wife Rachel, Matt Heller and his wife Christina, Becky Livesey and her husband Seth, Maranda Lewis and her husband Mike, Mathias Myrthel, Christopher Heller, T J Eilber and his wife Jen and Cody Eilber. She also has four great grandchildren, Rachel, Trevor, Kylee and Tyler. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 47 years, Robert, and her son Randy James Heller and a grandson Ryan Heller. Due to her wishes there will be no formal service, however, a celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
