Obituary of William Butler

William L. Butler, 54, of Tobyhanna, died Tuesday, July 19 at Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg. He was the husband of Chinetta (Samuel) Butler. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he was the son of the late Emory and Rosalie (Robertson) Butler. William attended New York City Technical College. He was employed as an electrician supervisor for the New York Transit Authority for 28 years. William was a member of the Living Hope Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, Chinetta, he is survived by a son, William Butler of Columbia, Maryland; five daughters, Tanya Butler of Queens Village, New York, Pamela Butler and Arianna Butler of Brooklyn, New York, Allynn Samuel and Shani Samuel of Detroit, Michigan; a brother, Wallace Butler of Brooklyn, New York; three sisters, Elaine Morgan of Brooklyn, New York; Unice Robinson of South Carolina, Ann Horton of Dover, Delaware; and two grandchildren, DeAndre Pate and Madison Butler, both of Brooklyn, New York. Reverend Tom Hutchinson will conduct a funeral service at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 22 at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of routes 940 & 390 in Paradise Valley. Interment will follow at St. Paul's Cemetery in Swiftwater.
