Obituary of Charles Winchell

Charles (Chuck) Arlo Winchell, 60, of Pocono Pines died Sunday, December 10 at the Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg. He was the husband of Cindy (Conklin) Winchell. Born in Cuba, NY on June 14, 1946, Chuck was the son of Thelma Mae (Thompson) Winchell-Cook and the late Lloyd Arlo Winchell. For 30 years, Chuck worked in the Property and Casualty Insurance Industry in claims and claims management for Chubb, AIG, Continental/CNA and Lloyds of London. He is currently co-owner of C. Winchell Agency, a professional recruiting firm, located in Pocono Summit. He was actively involved in several local charities, to include raising funds for Pocono Mountain Regional Police, the Eagles 1106 Cancer Fund and the American Legion, Wilson-Fisher Post in Pocono Pines. In addition to his wife Cindy, Chuck is survived by his mother Thelma Winchell-Cook and her husband John Cook of Cuba, NY; two sons: Lloyd and Aaron Winchell; one daughter: Kristi Winchell; two sisters: Sandy Bailey and Linda Lutkowski; 3 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The Reverend Wayne Kaufman will conduct a Memorial Service at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 13 at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of Routes 940 & 390 in Paradise Valley. There will be a visitation from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
