Obituary of Clara Pavia

Clara Rose Pavia, 76, of Pocono Summit, died Thursday morning, October 4 at the Brookmont Health Care Center in Effort. She was the wife of Charles Pavia. Born in Manhattan, NY, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Santina (Allocca) Mastropasqua. Clara enjoyed bowling at Summit Lanes in Pocono Summit on her team, The Freeloaders. She was of the Catholic Faith. In addition to her husband Charles, Clara is survived by one son: Charles Pavia, Jr. and close family friend, Kevin Hayes, both of Jersey City, NJ; one brother: Louis Mastropasqua of Bronx, NY; one sister: Ida Argento of Astoria, NY; one step-son: Peter Pavia of Waterville, ME; one step-daughter: Josephine Pavia of Marlton, NJ; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters. There will be a viewing on Friday, October 5 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of Routes 940 & 390, Paradise Valley. Deacon David Bechtel of St. Mary of the Mount Catholic Church will conduct a funeral service on Saturday, October 6 at 10:00 am at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of Routes 940 & 390, Paradise Valley. Entombment will follow at Laurelwood Cemetery.
