Obituary of Rita LaRocca

Rita M. LaRocca, 84, of Long Pond, died Monday, November 20 at Wesley Village in Pittston where she was a resident. She was the wife of the late Joseph M. LaRocca. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Anthony C. and Mary (Gambino) Bellanca. She was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Church in Pocono Pines. She is survived by two daughters, Jeanne Mohlenhoff and her husband, Bill of Long Pond, Rita Freud and her husband Robert of Fairlawn, New Jersey; one brother, Stephen Bellanca of Long Island, New York; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Joseph, she was preceded in death by one son, Joseph LaRocca, Jr. and a brother, Joseph Bellanca. The Reverend Father Joseph Kopacz will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 22 at Our Lady of the Lake Church in Pocono Pines. Entombment will follow at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Mechanicsburg. There will be a viewing on Tuesday, November 21 from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of Routes 940 & 390 in Paradise Valley.
