Obituary of Donald Wagner

Donald Joseph Wagner Sr. 81, of Pocono Lake, died Monday, August 8 at Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg. He was the husband of the late Judith (Soules) Wagner. Born June, 21, 1930 in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late William and Olive (Hill) Wagner. Donald graduated from Roxborough High School in 1948 and served in the Army National Guard during the Korean War. He operated a Texaco Service Station with his brother and then went on to own an Exxon Station in Morrisville for 40 years. Donald resided in Bucks County for 50 years before moving to the Poconos in 2005. He enjoyed fishing, sailing and loved to grow vegetables in his garden, especially tomatoes. Donald was an avid fan of all the Philadelphia sports teams, but most importantly the Phillies and the Eagles. He loved history, especially the World War II time period and fulfilled one of his life's dream by going to Germany in 2004. He was well known as "Moose" and loved to make people laugh by telling jokes and always had a good story. Donald always said goodbye by saying "See ya in the funnies." He is survived by his son: Donald, Jr. and his fiance Robin; his daughter: MaryEllen and son-in-law Scott; his brother: Robert; his grandchildren: Donald III (DJ), Fawn Lynn, Marissa, Jason, Bryan, Kristen Ann, Kimberly Ann, Rachel, Ryan and Kevin and many loving nieces, nephews and great grandchildren. In addition to his wife, Judith, Donald was preceded in death by his brother: William; sister: Olive; and granddaughter Kristen Ann. Private Cremation was entrusted to the Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
