Obituary of Frank Verrico
Frank J. Verrico, 80, of Pocono Summit, died Thursday, November 4 at home. He was the husband of Grace (Giarrusso) Verrico to whom he was married for 57 years.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, he was the son of the late Vincent and Maria (Tazzaro) Verrico.
He was a textile printer in New York until his retirement, then drove school bus for Pocono Mountain East School for 13 years.
Frank was a member of St. Mary of the Mount Church in Mt. Pocono and a member of the Knights of Columbus Pocono Mountain Council #4159.
In addition to his wife, Grace, he is survived by a son, Frank Verrico and his wife Nancy of Manalapan, NJ; two daughters, Elizabeth Cifu and her husband John of Pittsfield, MA and Mary Ann Amabile and her husband Robert of Lynbrook, NY; two brothers, Chester Verrico and his wife, Eleanor of Pocono Summit; Ernest Verrico and his wife, Angel of Pompton Plains, NJ; ten grandchildren, Frank John Verrico and his wife Fiorela, Joanmarie Verrico, JoAnne Valentino and her husband James, John Cifu and his wife Christine, Michael Cifu and his wife, Michele, Victoria Cifu, and Robert, Theresa, Christopher, and Joseph Amabile; four great-grandchildren, Andrew, Emilia, Olivia, and Sophia; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by eight sisters.
There will be viewings on Sunday, November 7 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Monday, November 8 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Bolock Funeral Home, Rts. 940 & 390, Cresco. The Reverend Father Joseph Kopacz will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, November 9 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary of the Mount Church in Mt. Pocono. Burial will follow at St. Catherine's Cemetery in Moscow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Dale and Frances Hughes Cancer Center, 231 East Brown Street, East Stroudsburg, Pa. 18301
