Obituary of Pauline McGreevy

Pauline Florence (Springer) McGreevy, 67, of Mt. Pocono, died Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg. She was the wife of Robert McGreevy, to whom she was married for 47 years. Born in Berlin, New Hampshire, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Beatrice (Bergeron) Springer. Pauline moved to the Poconos in 1990 and worked for several retail stores, including managing the Dollar Store in Mt. Pocono until her retirement. She then worked part-time with the area agency on aging, assisting people with lunches at Belmont Knoll in Mt. Pocono. She was a member of St. Mary of the Mount Church. In addition to her husband, Joseph, she is survived by two sons, James McGreevy and his wife, Laura of Port Murray, New Jersey, Michael McGreevy and his wife, Judith of Great Meadows, New Jersey, two daughters, Melissa Flaherty and her husband, David of Bushkill; Maureen McGreevy of Long Pond; two brothers, Joseph Springer of Berlin, New Hampshire, Norman Springer of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; two sisters, Jeanette Dion of Florida and Margaret Woehrle of Massachusetts; twelve grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Lorraine Vachon. The Reverend Father Joseph Kopacz will celebrate a Memorial Mass at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, October 5 at St. Mary of the Mount Church, Fairview Avenue, Mt. Pocono. Relatives and friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Cremation services were entrusted to the Bolock Funeral Home Crematory, corner of routes 940 & 390 in Paradise Valley.
