Obituary of Mary Miller

Mary Lou Miller, 72, of Tobyhanna, died Friday January 19 at St Luke's Hospital in Fountain Hill. She was the wife of Robert R. Miller, Sr. Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late James P. Lynch and Louise (Gilleran) Lynch, who passed away when Mary Lou was very young. She was raised in Tobyhanna by her father and stepmother, the late Rose (Donnelly) Lynch. She graduated from the East Stroudsburg State Teachers College and she attained her masters in education from the University of Scranton. She worked in the Pocono Area as a first grade teacher for ten years. Then she and her sister Ann co-directed Camp Tegawitha in Tobyhanna until it closed in 1995. She was a member of St. Mary of the Mount Catholic Church in Mt. Pocono. In addition to her husband, Mary Lou is survived by one son, Robert R. Miller, Jr. and his wife Jill and their two children Robert R. Miller III and Olivia Miller of Swiftwater; one sister, Ann Regan and her husband Francis of Tobyhanna and Several Nieces and Nephews. The funeral will be held on Wednesday, January 24 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary of the Mount Church, Fairview Ave., Mt. Pocono. Interment will follow in St. Catherine's Cemetery, Moscow. There will be a viewing on Tuesday, January 23 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of Routes 940 & 390, Paradise Valley.
