Obituary of Michael Smallman

Michael Smallman, 42, of Tobyhanna, died Monday, September 17 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. He was the husband of Brenda (Woodburn ) Smallman. A lifelong resident of Monroe County, Michael was born in East Stroudsburg. He was the son of the late James and Renate (Lange) Smallman. He was employed as a shipper and receiver at the former Ames Department Store in Mt. Pocono. Michael devoted 26 years as a volunteer with the Coolbaugh Township Volunteer Fire Company. In addition to his wife, Brenda, he is survived by a daughter, Sarah Smallman of Tobyhanna, a son, Timothy Perkins of Michigan; a twin brother, James Smallman, Jr. and his wife, Barbara of Mt. Pocono; and several nieces. There will be a viewing on Thursday, September 20 from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of routes 940 & 390 in Paradise Valley. A funeral service will be conducted at 8:30 p.m. The family has requested no flowers due to severe allergies.
