Obituary of Vincent Fama

Vincent John Fama, 58, of Pocono Lake, died Saturday, July 17 at the VNA Hospice House of Monroe County in East Stroudsburg. He was the husband of Maria (Tackett) Fama. Born in New York, New York, he was the son of the late Phillip and Leonatta (Mistratta) Fama. Before his retirement, Vincent was a bus driver since 1980 for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority at the Rockville Center Office. He drove the South Shore Bus Route. In addition to his wife, Maria, he is survived by a son, Philip Fama of Babylon, New York; a sister, Marie Caracappa of Marlboro, New Jersey; and several nieces and nephews. There will be a viewing on Wednesday, July 21 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of Routes 940 & 390 in Paradise Valley. The Reverend Father John Boyle will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 22 at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church in Pocono Pines. Family and friends may gather at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of mass. Interment will follow at Prospect Cemetery in East Stroudsburg.
