Obituary of William Phillips

William Primer Phillips, Jr., 92, of Tobyhanna, died on Monday, November 27 at Summit Healthcare in Wilkes-Barre. Born in South Carolina, he was the son of the late William P. Phillips, Sr. and Marilyn (Davis) Phillips. He is survived by eight sons; Joseph Phillips, of Manhattan, NY, David Phillips of Bartonsville, Nelson and Butch Phillips of Queens, Frank Phillips of Detroit, Michigan, Raymond Dean of Tobyhanna, Michael and Billy Phillips; four daughters, Juliette Owens of Tobyhanna, Carriettia Besselieu of Fort Hood, Texas, Lorraine Key of Queens, New York, Jeannette Moses of Newark, Delaware; 29 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 1 at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of routes 940 & 390 in Paradise Valley. Interment will follow at St. Pauls's Cemetery in Swiftwater. There will be a viewing from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
