Obituary of Frank Bauer

Frank C. Bauer, 83, of Pocono Lake, died Thursday, January 6, 2011 at home. Born in Totowa, New Jersey, he was the son of Frank R. and Martha (Joeckle) Bauer. Before his retirement in 1982, Frank was a maintenance supervisor for the United States Postal Service in New York City and a member of the Mail Handlers Union. Frank served on the Board of the Arrowhead Lake Community Association. He was a Corporal in the Army Air Force who served during World War II earning a Good Conduct Medal and a World War II Victory Medal. He is survived by a son, William Bauer of Pocono Lake and a sister, Ruth Bastin of Brimfield, MA. He was preceded in death by a sister, May Bauer Wolff. There will be a viewing on Tuesday, January 11 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Bolock Funeral Home, Rt. 940 in Cresco. The Reverend Dr. Thomas Richards will conduct a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Pocono Lake Cemetery in Pocono Lake.
