Obituary of Daniel Wilusz

Daniel J. Wilusz, 64, of Pocono Lake, died Friday, February 9 at Lehigh Valley Hospice in Allentown. He was the husband of Helen (Sommar) Wilusz. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of Elizabeth (Raven) Wilusz of Delran, New Jersey and the late Rudolph Wilusz. He was a construction worker for many years and most recently drove for Venezia Transport, a job he especially loved. Daniel was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Church and the American Legion Post 413 in Pocono Pines. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served in the Vietnam War. He was also very active in Boyscout Troop #94 and the Pocono Mountain Little League. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a son, Daniel J. Wilusz and his wife Amy, of Lehighton; a daughter, Paula A. Wilusz of Hummelstown; a brother, James Wilusz and his wife Patricia of Delran, New Jersey; two grandchildren, Luke and Zachary; and several nieces and nephews. The Reverend John Boyle will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 13 at Our Lady of the Lake Church in Pocono Pines. There will be a viewing at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville. There will be a viewing on Monday, February 12 from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of Routes 940 & 390 in Paradise Valley.
