Obituary of Tessie Kovach

Tessie R. Kovach, 87, of Lake Naomi, passed away on Friday, March 14 at home. She was the wife of Stephen Kovach, to whom she was married for 67 years. Born in Kulpmont, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Stella (Wishneski) Rutkowski. She graduated from Kulpmont High School. She was a resident of Lake Naomi for the past 21 years, after moving from the Queens in New York City. She was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Church in Pocono Pines and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Wilson-fisher Post in Pocono Pines. In addition to her husband, Stephen, she is survived by a daughter, Tanya K. Tesa of Manhattan, NY; a son Stephen M. Kovach and his wife Stephanie of Tampa, Florida; a brother, Stanley Rutkowski and his wife, Barbara of Levittown; a sister, Ann Scanzoni of Kulpmont; three grandchildren, Stephen M. Kovach, Jr., Katherine A. Kovach, and Lucy Rose Kovach, all of Tampa, Florida; and five nephews and six nieces. She was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister. The Reverend Father John Boyle will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 17 at Our Lady of the Lake Church in Pocono Pines. There will be viewings on Sunday, March 16 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of Routes 940 & 390 in Paradise Valley, and on Monday at 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at Our Lady of the Lake. Cremation is entrusted to the Bolock Funeral Home Crematory. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of the Lake Church, PO Box O, Pocono Pines, Pa. 18350.
