Obituary of Timothy Grzywacz
Timothy Patrick Grzywacz, 23, of Mount Pocono, PA, died early Saturday morning, May 10, 2008, at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown. He was the loving son of Karen (Eckenrode) Grzywacz and Gerald "Jerry" Grzywacz of Mount Pocono.
He graduated from Pocono Mountain East High School in 2003 and Temple University in January 2008 with a bachelor's degree in Finance.
Tim was a great man who touched the lives of every person he met. He was a free spirit who loved the outdoors, hiking, snowboarding, golfing, and reading anything he could get his hands on. He was an amazing person with a huge heart, and the glue that held his large family together. His family is very proud of all that he accomplished and for the endless generosity and love he shared every day of his life. Although he was taken from this life far too early, we thank God every day for the privilege of having Tim in our lives. Tim was a very spiritual person, and we know that he will now have the answers to all of his life's questions. He will live on in the hearts of his family and friends and through the lives of those people he will save with the Gift of Life Organ Donation Program.
He was a devoted brother to Wendy G. Ramunno and her husband, Ross, of New York City; Gerry Grzywacz, Jr., of Philadelphia; Dan Grzywacz and his wife, Mandy, of Andover, MA; Brian Grzywacz, of New York City; Matthew Grzywacz, of Philadelphia; and Brendan Grzywacz, of Mount Pocono. He is also survived by his niece, Santina Ramunno, of New York City; uncles, including his godfather, Tim Regan, of Dunmore; and numerous aunts and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Paul Eckenrode, Margaret (Eckenrode) Regan and Jack Regan; his paternal grandparents, Frank and Genevieve Grzywacz, and his godmother, Peggy Flynn.
There will be a viewing on Tuesday, May 13 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Bolock Funeral Home, Corner of Routes 940 & 390 in Paradise Valley. The Reverend Father Joseph Kopacz will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, May 14 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary of the Mount Church in Mt. Pocono. Family and friends are requested to go directly to the church for the funeral mass. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Tim's name to: The Nature Conservancy, 15 East Ridge Pike, Suite 100, Conshohocken, PA 19428. Donations will benefit local environmental causes in the Pocono Mountains.
