Obituary of James Ronayne

James Patrick Ronayne, Jr. 58 , was a 52 year resident of Glen Rock and most recently Buck Hill Falls, Pa. died Friday, June 5 at home. He was the husband of Laura Nancy (Africano) Ronayne. Born in New York, New York, he was the son of the late John P. and Rosemary (Murray) Ronayne. He was owner of M&R Promotions and the Glen Rock Sports Page. He finished his career as finance manager at Brogan Cadillac of Ridgewood. He was active in the Glen Rock Jr. sports programs throughout his life. He coached baseball, football and basketball. He served as president of the Glen Rock Jr. Football Association during his early twenties and was a partner with Coach Alan Deaett of the Glen Rock Football Camp. During the 80's Mr. Ronayne also coached the semi-pro football team the New Jersey Rams with Coach Deaett. In addition to his wife of 29 years, Laura Nancy, James is survived by a son, Patrick of Hawthorne, a sister Rosemary Richards of Little Silver, nephews Sean McNeil and Patrick Benson and a niece Noelle McNeil. There will be a visitaion on June 10th from 2:00 pm to 4:00 p and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the C.C. Van Emburgh Funeral Home, Ridgewood, N.J. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday June 11th at St. Catharine's R.C. Church in Glen Rock at 10:00 am. Family and friends are asked to go directly to the church for the Mass.
