Obituary of Barbara Beehler

Barbara Beehler, 70 of Tobyhanna, passed away Monday, August 29, 2011 at St. Luke's Hospital in Bethlehem. She was the loving wife of William Beehler for the past 51 years. Born in and lifelong resident of Tobyhanna, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Susan (Darinski) Knecht. Barbara formerly attended St Ann's Church of Tobyhanna and recently the Pocono Community Church. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend, she truly loved her family. She enjoyed cooking, attending concerts, luncheons with her woman's group, yard sales, decorating for every holiday and especially taking care of her grandnephew, Caden. Barbara never missed a recital, band concert, game, or doctor's appointment of any of her grandchildren, nieces or nephews. To Barbara, family was everything. She was the center and the rock that held her family together. She was well known for her energy and willingness to help anyone in need. Barbara was also devoted to her animal family and there was never a dog she met that didn't love her. In addition to her husband William, she is survived by a daughter, Tammy Beehler and her partner Sue Schaible of Washington, NJ; a son, Kevin Beehler and his wife Sharon of Tobyhanna; a brother Leon Knecht and his wife Sandra of Tobyhanna; a sister Patricia Quick and her husband Merton of Tobyhanna; two grandchildren Carlee and Kelsey Beehler of Tobyhanna; nieces and nephews, Kimberly Allen, Chad Knecht, Robert Knecht, Samantha Knecht, Charles Knecht, Nicholas Beehler, Katrina Beehler, and grandnephew Caden Allen and grandniece Abigail Knecht. Private cremation was entrusted to the Bolock Funeral Home Crematory in Cresco.
