Obituary of William Shutz
William A. Schutz, 74, of Long Pond, died Monday, July 23 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital in Plains Township. He was the husband of Eleanore (Keiper) Schutz.
Born in Hellertown, he was the son of the late Anthony and Mary Schutz.
Bill served as a policeman for the city of Bethlehem for twenty-five years. He retired this year after thirteen years in Security at the Skytop Inn and Resort. He was a United States Navy veteran.
In addition to his wife, Eleanore, he is survived by a daughter, Jeanine Schutz of White Haven; two sons, Anthony Schutz of Saylorsburg and Scott Schutz of Long Pond; two brothers, Albert Schutz of Mifflinville; and Dr. John Schutz of Excelsior Springs, MO; a sister, Elsie Walsh of Potomac, MD; three grandsons, Tony, Bryan, and Jesse; and several nieces and nephews.
The Reverend George Alt will conduct private services for the family. Cremation took place at the Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
