Obituary of Paula Hayes

Paula J. "Peggy" Hayes, 54, of Tobyhanna, passed away on Saturday, August 18 at home. She was the wife of Robert Hayes. Born in Antigo, Wisconsin, she was the daughter of the late Glenn and Lucille (Johnson) Schroepfer and attended Antigo High School. She was a member of the Ladies Auxillary VFW Post #3448 in Mt. Pocono. After retiring from the Army, she was employed in the Defense Commissary Agency at the Lakehurst Commissary in New Jersey. In addition to her husband, Robert, she is survived by a son, Isaac Hayes of Tobyhanna; a daughter, LeTanya Hayes of Stroudsburg; step-son, Robert Hayes Jr., Lexington, KY; step-daughter, Angelica Hayes also of Lexington, KY; a brother, Charles Schroepfer of Mercer, WI; two sisters, Susan Schroepfer of Quincy, MA, Diane Urias of Fort Worth, TX; one granddaughter, Nadia Waller of Stroudsburg; three step-grandchildren, Branden, Brajaan, Aerielle Hayes all of Lexington, KY; and two nieces. The Reverend John Cordes will conduct a Memorial Service at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 22 followed by military honors, at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of Routes 940 & 390 in Paradise Valley. There will be a calling hour at 5:00 p.m. until the time of service. Cremation was entrusted to the Bolock Funeral Home Crematory. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Monroe County VNA Hospice, 502 Independence Road, East Stroudsburg, Pa. 18301
