Obituary of Ralph Dunlap

Ralph E. Dunlap, Jr., 66, of Pocono Lake and life-long resident of Monroe County, passed away on Wednesday, October 6 at the VNA Hospice House of Monroe County in East Stroudsburg. Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Ralph Dunlap Sr. and Pauline (Miller) Dunlap. Ralph was a graduate of the first Pocono Mountain Jointure class, where he also played in participated in many sports, including baseball and basketball. Until his retirement, he was employed as a construction inspector for Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. A devoted grandfather and die hard Steelers Fan, he also loved golf, hunting and trap shooting. Ralph was an Air Force veteran who served his country during the Vietnam Era. He was a member of the American Legion Wilson Fischer Post #413 in Pocono Lake. He is survived by a son, Matthew Dunlap and his wife, Megan of Cresco; a daughter Michelle Bisbing and her husband, Donald of Pocono Lake; four grandchildren, Travis and Meredith Bisbing, Jack and Nathan Dunlap; his ex-wife and friend, Pamela (Koerner) Dunlap; as well as many dear and close friends. There will be a visitation on Monday, October 11 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of Routes 940 & 390 in Cresco. The Reverend George Alt will conduct a funeral service at 12:00 noon at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Pocono Lake Cemetery. Private cremation was entrusted to the Bolock Funeral Home Crematory. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Center Hospice Unit, 1111 E. End Blvd, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18711
