Obituary of Esther Pickett

Esther Pickett, 89, of Canadensis, died Saturday, October 28 at Doylestown Hospital in Bucks County, Pa. She was the wife of the late William E. Pickett. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late William and Louisa (Schneider) Kopp. Esther had been a resident of Canadensis since 1959, when she and her husband Bill purchased property and opened a small Bed & Breakfast, which they named Dreamy Acres. Esther was a member of the Eastern Star, the Pocono Mountain Vacation Bureau, and the Mountainhome United Methodist Church. She loved working with ceramics and all kinds of crafts. She is survived by two nieces; and one nephew. The Reverend Barbara Housley will conduct a funeral service on Thursday, November 2 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of routes 940 & 390 in Paradise Valley. Interment will follow the service at Mountainhome Cemetery. There will be a viewing from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service.
