Obituary of Paul Dembinski

Paul J. Dembinski, 75, of Cresco, died unexpectedly on Thursday, October 12 in Ocean City, Maryland. He was the husband of Patricia (Zierer) Dembinski. Born in Warsaw, Poland, he was the son of the late Ludwik and Ann (Zultowska) Dembinski. He attended and graduated from Fordham Prep School in Bronx, New York and received his degree at the University of Notre Dame. A veteran of the United States Army, he spent three years at Fort Dix. From 1956 to 1970, Paul was an Industrial Engineer for US Steel. He was part owner of Pal-Car Construction from 1970 to 1977. In 1977 he founded Oakridge Construction, where he has been semi-retired for the past five years. His legacy continues to be managed by his family. Paul was an active member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Blakeslee. As a member of the Top-of-the Poconos Rotary, he was the recipient of the Paul Harris Award, an award in recognition of Rotarians and community professionals for their outstanding contributions. He was a member emeritus of the Pocono Builders Association and a member of the Notre Dame Club. He loved Notre Dame football and the Philadelphia Eagles. In addition to his wife, Patricia, he is survived by three sons, Richard and his wife Diane of Levittown, James and his wife Kathy of Stroudsburg, Matthew and his wife Jeanette of Lake Harmony; two daughters, Margaret Carr and her husband Jeffrey of Cresco, Elizabeth Lloyd and her husband Robert of Yardley; one brother, Mark Dembinski, retired colonel from Springfield, VA; 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sons, Paul and Thomas Dembinski. The Reverend Father Raymond Deviney will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 18 at Christ the King Church in Blakeslee. There will be a viewing on Tuesday, October 17 from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of routes 940 & 390 in Paradise Valley and at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday at the church. Interment will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 19 at Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery in Doylestown.
