Obituary of Joanne Henninger

Joanne P. Henninger, 73, of Pocono Lake, passed away on Monday, May 17 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Edward Henninger. Born on June 25, 1936, in Carbondale, she was the daughter of the late Aloysius and Lucy (Rogan) Toolan. She was employed by Bell Telephone and prior to her retirement she worked for 25 years at Mercy Hospital in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. She was of the Catholic faith. She is survived by two sons, Mark Horst of Pocono Lake, Brian Horst and his wife Joanne of Wilkes-Barre; three daughters, Michele Horst of Kingston, Coleen Horst of Forty Fort, Cheryl Santarelli of Hackettstown, NJ; twelve grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Gerard Toolan. Deacon Jack Taylor will conduct a Blessing Service at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, May 21 at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of Routes 940 & 390 in Paradise Valley. There will be a viewing at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Following the service, entombment will take place at Prospect Cemetery in East Stroudsburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the SPCA of Luzerne County, 524 E. Main Street, Fox Hill Rd., Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702
