Obituary of Angelina Scavello

Angelina Scavello, 81, of Mt. Pocono, died Monday, November 6 at Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg. She was the wife of the late Ippolito "Paul" Scavello who passed away in 1992. Born in Cosenza, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Salvator and Isabella (Calamina) Cosentino. Before her retirement, she was employed as a certified nurses aid at the Providence Rest Home in Bronx, New York. Angelina was the "caretaker" for her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She also loved gardening. A very giving person with a big heart, she was loved by all. She is survived by three sons, State Representative Mario Scavello and his wife, Mary Ann, Frank Scavello and his wife, Glenda, Gabriel Scavello and his wife, Carmela all of Mt. Pocono; two daughters, Nancy Scavello, Julia Pellicori and her husband, Tony, both of Mt. Pocono; two brothers, Antonio and Giovanni Cosentino, both of Philadelphia; three sisters, Maria, Anna, and Ida, all of Italy; 13 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The Reverend Father Joseph Kopacz will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 9 at St. Mary of the Mount Church in Mt. Pocono. Interment will follow at St. Catherine's Cemetery in Moscow. There will be a viewing from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 7 at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of routes 940 & 390 in Paradise Valley.
