Obituary of Maureen Wolff

Maureen T. Wolff, 74, of Mt. Pocono, passed away on Thursday, November 4 at Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg. She was the wife of George R. Wolff, to whom she was married for 54 years. Born in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of the late James and Hazel (Cushing) McGrath. She was a graduate of Baruch College in New York. A member of St. Mary of the Mount Catholic Church in Mt. Pocono, she also volunteered administratively for CCD and was a member of the Mt. Pocono Garden Club. In addition to her husband, George, she is survived by four children, George R. Wolff, Jr. and his wife Janice, Douglas E. Wolff and his spouse, Robert Gehlmeyer, Theresa M. Kundmueller and her husband, Thomas, Christopher P. Wolff and his wife, Dorothy all of New York; and nine grandchildren, Samantha, Nicole, Melissa, Gerald, John, Kevin, Kaitlyn, Sophia, and Alexander. She was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas McGrath. There will be a viewing on Monday November 8 from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at St. Mary of the Mount Catholic Church, Fairview Avenue in Mt. Pocono. The Reverend Father Joseph Kopacz will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 6:00 p.m. at the church. A second viewing will take place on Tuesday, November 9 at the Frederick Funeral Home, 19215 Northern Boulevard, Flushing, New York 11358-2993 from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:45 a.m. on Wednesday, November 10 at St. Kevin's Roman Catholic Church, 4521 194th Street, Flushing, NY 11358-3533. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery, Middle Village, Queens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Maureen's memory to St. Mary of the Mount Church, 27 Fairview Avenue, Mt.
